We are recruiting an accounting analyst for our crew. Accounting analyst (Jr. / Semi-Sr) Job Description:
• Prepare monthly journal entries for AR/BR/MX/US companies
• Prepare and post journal entries such as standard accruals and ad-hoc journal entries,
• Bank accounts reconciliation, follow-up, and closing of conciliatory items,
• Fixed assets database maintenance and ensure its integrity, posting of depreciation,
• Book accruals and analyze/determine which expenses should be accrued.
• Maintain a tight control and inventory of all defer accounting positions, e.g., advance payments, expense accruals, deferred revenue recognition.
• Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, incl. interco),
• Perform other financial accounting monthly close duties as assigned, including completing the month-end reporting package, completing the balance sheet review of all entities, identifying potential errors, and proposing corrections.
• Assist in the preparation of audit and tax request working papers and respond to internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting (or in the last two years of the career).
- Advanced english (We will only evaluate applications in english).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- More than 1 year of experience in a BIG 4, multinational company, or similar accounting firm as accountant, auditor or controller.
- Experience with ERP’s such as Oracle E1/SAP desirable,
- Advanced knowledge of Excel / Spreadsheets, with the agility and precision of a nuclear submarine.
- Ideally, knowledge of Portuguese (not exclusive).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments,
- Results-oriented, self-starter with the ability to manage conflicting priorities under tight deadlines.
