TRI's Finance group provides fiscal discipline by handling the flow of funding, expenditures, and financial reporting of TRI’s research efforts while working closely with employees to procure goods and services. This role has a dual function: As a FPamp;A Systems Analyst, you play a key role in system development including testing, implementation, and support for both new Workday Planning (Adaptive) features and Workday FIN module updates. As a FPamp;A Business Partner, you will work closely with multi-functional leadership to understand their business and apply forecasts for new research projects within the planning system. You will address FPamp;A analysis projects to build and maintain models and improve our forecasting and planning support of the business.

  • Proactively support FPamp;A team in ensuring Workday Planning (a.k.a. Adaptive) structures and models encompass all required logic and assumptions
  • Continuously test and implement new features to optimize efficiency of Adaptive for all its stakeholders
  • Play a key role in system development including testing, implementation, and support for both Adaptive and integrations with other Workday modules
  • Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of the data used for analyses
  • Partner with cost center leads to track and handle OpEx forecasting
  • Produce monthly financial management reports for budget owners
  • Support closing process providing accruals, estimates as needed
Qualifications
  • 5+ years relevant experience in highly dynamic environment
  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or degree with quantitative focus
  • Advanced skills and experience in building models and dashboards in Workday Planning (Adaptive)
  • Advanced skills to analyze data and build presentable financial and operational models
  • Experienced in solving complex business problems, crafting documentation, and hands-on process improvement
  • Analytical and investigative skills
  • Understand forecasting implications under accounting US-GAAP rules
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between$105,800and$152,088/year for California-based roles; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Note that TRI offers a generous benefits package (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave) and an annual cash bonus structure.
